About New Visions World Ministries

New Visions World Ministries Church is a testimony to the power of God and His desire to reach people in the Metro-East area. In October of 2003, a young pastor named Barry Simmons was lead by the Lord with a great vision to plant a church that would use practical methods to reach people with God's Message of hope through Jesus Christ.

With God on his side, Barry, his wife Sherrie and their children formed a core group that met at their home for bible study. Although these early meetings consisted of only 16 people, Barry was undeterred in his belief of what of God had told him. The bible study then moved to the public library after a rapid growth, New Visions had it's first worship service of Father's Day, June 2004 at Penniman Grade School in Cahokia, IL with 70 people present.

New Visions World Ministries moved to Maplewood Park Church, 429 Range Lane Cahokia, IL in Fall of 2004. The church has continued to grow over the past 36 months to over 110 people.

Since New Visions birth, over 30 people have accepted Christ and been baptized for the first time. New Visions hope to purchase a new building by 2010 so God can continue to reach lost people in the community that may not respond to traditional methods of church.
