"Men of Honor" - Men's Group

New Visions Men of Honor is a men's fraternity that was formed Auguest 06, 2008. The existence of the organization is based on our church vision, which simply states that: "The family structure of our community will be restored and families can live a lifestyle according to God's word without compromise." God has created the man as the head of his family. We recongize that this is a great responsibility and an important role that requires teaching and training to be executed the way that God has intended. Therefore, with prayer and faith we ahve formed the Men of Honor with the following agenda and goals.

1. Training in Marriage and Relationships
a. The first training the group received was an 8-weed relationship video series title "Hidden Keys in Lasting Relationships" by Gary Smiley

2. Fellowship with Other Men
a. The group incorporated workshops like basic carpentry/woodworking and fishing to teach godly principles like building your life for Christ and becoming fishers of men. After the classes are taught field trips and practical application sessions or conducted to actually apply the skills learned.
b. The Men of Honor conducted a weekend camping trip at a resort with the young Men of Honor (Boys Group) for a time of fellowship and fun. Classroom instructions were provided around the campfire on the topics of Honor, Intergrity, Responsiblilty, Sexual Purity and Absent Father.

3. Training the Role of a Man from a Godly Perspective
a. The fraternity is in the second half of a 28-week course entitled, "The Quest for Authentic Manhood" by Robert Lewis. This life changing series has caused men to take a look back into their past atht the things and people that have shaped their lives. This curriculum addresses common problems that all men encounter and assist in finding the root of these core issues. This series teaches what God's word says of the role of a man and his purpose for man. Lastly, it helps the individual set real goals for his life that isn't based on the materialistic things but the goals that lead to filling the void and emptiness and loneliness we some time experience.

Men of Honor meet every Saturday morning fro 6:00 am to 7:30 am for breakfast, training and prayer. (We meet early in order not to take precious time away from the family).
