THE CORONAVIRUS OFFICIAL STATEMENT
Greetings NVWM Family,
We have been paying close attention to the latest health news on the coronavirus (COVID-19) and its impact upon our nation and the world. As we continue to monitor this issue, please know that First Lady and I want to give you our response to this global concern.
First, we want to assure you that we are listening to the counsel of the medical community. We understand the challenge of making wise and sensible decisions amid varying reports of this pandemic. Therefore, we will adhere to the Governor’s “Stay at home” order. As it pertains to NVWM services, we will postpone gathering at our church during this mandate. Our plans are to utilize social media to air sermons. Please know that we are monitoring closely and should we need to make changes to this decision, we will do so. We do, however, recommend the following precautions.
Please continue to avoid touching your face, eyes, nose and mouth. Refrain from handshaking and/or hugging. Wash your hands for at least 30 seconds before and after contact with others and hard surfaces.
If you are not comfortable with our customary handshaking and/or hugging, feel free to greet verbally and with a smile and / or wave. We ask that despite this temporary advice that our spirit towards one another will always be of love and compassion.
During this time, you will be afforded the opportunity to give via: Cash App at $NVWM or on online website: newvisionsworldministries.org. Just click on “Donate” where you will be directed to PayPal. Our online giving is reliable, easy and safe. No matter what happens let’s honor the Lord with our giving.
We strongly encourage you to stay vigilant in prayer and current with advice from medical professionals that have been educating us on the news on how the corona virus is transmitted and/or carried. Take some time to understand proper preventative measures to support being part of the solution.
Finally, we believe God is still and will always be in control and our faith is strong in God’s word which said, “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but love, power and a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7. This means that in the mist of the overloading coverage found both on main stream TV and social media concerning this virus. We will not allow ourselves to live in fear that is driven by impulsive reaction, we will have and enjoy a normal life. God’s word decree, “There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling” Psalms 91:10
Know that we love you and are praying for your continued health, let us continue to pray for those affected around the world by this virus. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous availeth much.
Sincerely,
Pastor Barry Simmons Sr.
